MIAMI DOLPHINS CHAOS! The franchise just dropped SEVEN shocking roster cuts in one day — and some fans are already calling it the beginning of a brutal offseason bloodbath inside the Dolphins organization.
With the NFL forcing teams to reduce offseason rosters, Miami suddenly went from overloaded to ruthless, slashing seven players to get under league limits. But while some names were expected… others left fans completely stunned.
And one cut in particular has people FURIOUS.

The biggest shocker?
Edge rusher Derrick McClendon.
Many insiders believed McClendon had a legitimate chance to crack Miami’s 53-man roster because of how dangerously thin the Dolphins’ edge room already looks.
The young pass rusher spent all of last season on Miami’s practice squad and even earned late-season game-day promotions. That’s why fans were blindsided when the Dolphins suddenly showed him the door BEFORE minicamp even began.
Now social media is exploding with questions:
Why would Miami cut one of the few young edge rushers with actual NFL experience in such a weak position group?

Especially after adding a flood of rookies, undrafted free agents, and injury question marks to the room.
And the heartbreak didn’t stop there.
The Dolphins also cut tight end Zack Kuntz — a player many fans desperately wanted to see develop because of his freakish athletic profile.
And when we say freakish… we mean HISTORIC.
Coming out of the draft process, Kuntz reportedly tested as the most athletic tight end EVER recorded on the RAS scale at the time. A perfect 10.00 score. A 6’8” athletic mutant with rare speed and explosiveness.
Yet despite all that upside, Miami decided they had seen enough.
Now fans are left wondering if the Dolphins just gave up on a potential hidden weapon way too early.
At linebacker, Casey Osai was also cut loose, though insiders say that move was less surprising because Miami’s linebacker room is already stacked with established names and roster battles.
But things got even more interesting in the secondary.

The Dolphins also released cornerbacks Isaiah Johnson and Jason Maitre — and Johnson’s release raised serious eyebrows around the league.
Why?
Because Johnson had quietly impressed during previous preseasons, allowing almost nothing in coverage while showcasing rare size-speed traits that perfectly fit Miami’s defensive blueprint.
At 6’3” with sub-4.5 speed, many expected the Dolphins to at least keep him around through preseason competition.
Instead?
Gone.

And then came the special teams massacre.
Miami cut punter Seth Vernon and long snapper Tabore Pepper, essentially revealing that the organization may have already decided its special teams jobs BEFORE training camp even starts.
That means veteran punter Bradley Pinion now appears to be the heavy favorite to lock down the job, while Tucker Addington looks set to handle long-snapping duties moving forward.
In total, the Dolphins trimmed the roster down to 89 players after previously carrying too many bodies into the offseason. But many fans believe these moves signal something much bigger happening behind the scenes.
Competition in Miami has officially become ruthless.
Young players are getting cut before preseason.
Athletic freaks are being discarded.
Former practice squad standouts are disappearing overnight.
And the message from the Dolphins front office is becoming crystal clear:
Nobody’s safe anymore.
