The New York Yankees, sitting atop the American League with a commanding 23-11 record, are reportedly on the verge of executing a trade that one analyst has described as nothing short of a generational heist, a move that would fortify an already dominant pitching staff and signal a clear win-now mentality for a franchise chasing its 28th World Series title.

The proposed deal, which has ignited the baseball world, would send minor league prospects Rory Fox and Jay Savina to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for hard-throwing reliever Sir Anthony Dominguez, a player the Yankees have coveted since the offseason but failed to acquire until now, according to a report from Sports Illustrated.
This is a robbery for the New York Yankees right now as we have seen a new trade report appear for the Yankees to strengthen a position that has really been great for this team so far behind a few different players who have shown up and shown out.
But an area that we know Brian Cashman is always keen on improving right here.
And this is exactly the type of stuff that will help the Yankees continue to get better and better.
And it involves a player who they were very interested in throughout the offseason but did not end up landing.
But now they have the perfect chance to go out there and do that, guys.
And we are going to break down exactly how that is.
But real quick, if you do not mind subscribing to Yankees Digest, so you’re part of the 66% of viewers that are not subscribed.

We are on that grind right now.
As the Yankees continue to win, we continue to post great content for you guys so you don’t miss anything on this team right here, including a new trade report that is exactly the type of stuff that is up Brian Cman’s alley.
Look, when we look at Cashman as a GM, he has a phrase that there’s been talked about a bunch.
You can never have enough pitching.
Cashman has always talked about that.
That is not something that is going to change anytime soon.
He is very very very high on getting as much good pitching in for a team as humanly possible as I adjust my chair because overall when we look at the Yankees the pitching has been solid.
The starting pitching has been as good as any starting pitching in the league.
Meanwhile, the bullpen has been great behind arms like Tim Hill.
The David Bedner who’s played well after a slow start to this season.
Brent Hedrickk who’s been a nice hidden gem for this roster.
Things are looking good in the pen but there are areas where they can improve.
Enter Sir Anthony Dominguez, a man who the Yankees did have interest in and played quite well against the Yankees over the past couple of years as well, putting a lot of interest in on this potential move right here.
And guys, there was so much to look at on this.
But real quick before we do dive in to the trade report, thank you to Prize Pix for sponsoring today’s video.

Look, when we look at this team right here and the proposed deal between the Yankees and the White Socks, the Yankees would give up Rory Fox and Jay Savina in exchange for Sir Anthony Dominguez.
And here is what Sports Illustrated said on the topic.
It was mentioned by Sports Illustrated that from the Yankees perspective, this is a win now move for a team sitting at 23 and 11 and in first place in the American League, where the focus shifts from prospect development to strengthening the MLB roster for a playoff run.
Adding Sir Anthony Dominguez with a 3.95 RA, 17 strikeouts, a 1.244 whip in 13.2 innings pitch over 15 games gives them the immediate bullpen help with swing and miss stuff for a high leverage situations even if he’s not a dominant closer.
In return, they move high a Rory Fox with an 8.20 20 RA a 1.71 whip and 24 strikeouts and 18.2 innings pitched and double A outfielder Jason Savina with a 200 average, seven home runs, 752 OPS and 90 at bats.
Two volatile prospects with upside but plenty of developmental risk for a first place team.
That kind of minor league depth is often expendable.
Even is expendable if it improves the MLB bullpen, which it would.
Here’s the thing about that.
Obviously, both those guys are very young.
they’re very far away from being in the MLB.
I mean, AA has shown a lot of power.
He’s flashed that, but has struggled with the contact early on in this season.
And then, frankly, that is one of the big things to look at with this Yankee team.
Do they really need an outfielder and in double A, I mean, look, you got Dominguez ready and waiting.
You have Spencer Jones.
Aaron Judge isn’t going anywhere.
Cody Bellinger’s on a new deal.
It’s not like I mean, Trent Gisham still is alive.
like you don’t necessarily need that.
It’s it’s a risk that you can be willing to take if you are the Yankees right here.
It’s a trade where it feels like they’re not really risking much.
Rory Fox has shown strikeout abilities, but he’s also struggled so far.
And again, I don’t really see him as being anywhere close to getting into the MLB.
And the Yankees are trying to win right now in the Aaron Judge era.
Fox and AA are not going to help in the Aaron Judge era.
But who will help is Sir Anthony Dominguez.
Dominguez has been very very good throughout the season.
A 3.95 RA in 15 games is nice.
He’s doing well with the strikeouts, which is a huge thing for Dominguez because that’s what he does.
He gets strikeouts and this is what the Yankees were interested in him for.
They’ve won another swing and miss pitcher and they’ve looked at Dominguez over the trade deadlines have passed.
They looked at him over this free agency, but they haven’t landed him.
And that’s what we need to consider right now when looking at the Yankees overall.
Dominguez has shown a lot of good stuff on baseball.
I mean, he’s obviously got good fast ball velocity.
That’s always been a thing about him.
And the Yankees could use another hard throwing pitcher with Camilo Deval struggling.
And yeah, the pitching run value has not been excellent this year, but the strikeouts, the whiff, it’s been good.
And it’s somewhere where you should be willing, especially with a breaking ball that’s been very good.
And the Yankees affinity for guys who could throw a good breaking ball.
He does fit the mold of someone who the Yankees would want to use.
Now, the Yankees, it’s no secret their pitching has been excellent.
Overall, when you look at their pitching entirely, they have the best RA in baseball.
the only team with a sub two or with a sub3 erra in the entire MLB with a 2.95.
That’s well ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves who are second and third and then the Brewers and Rangers who are close to each other.
But the Dodgers and Braves are a little bit well ahead of them as well.
And then the Yankees, they’re just ahead of everyone.
Now, here’s the thing, though.
That’s from the starters mainly.
The Yankees bullpen has not been bad at all.
3.41 RA is good for sixth in the MLB.
The Marlins are ahead of them.
The Braves are ahead of them.
The Mariners are ahead of them.
Giants and the Rangers are.
There’s not a lot of contenders ahead of the Yankees, but there is enough talent where you want your bullpen to be great because the hitting for the Yankees has been pretty good for the most part over the last couple of years.
This year, it’s still been solid as well, don’t get me wrong.
But if you have this elite pitching like the Yankees want, it does help a lot for the run prevention.
And then you just need a team that can hit a lot of home runs to continue doing that and hopefully find some sort of contact pad.
But it feels like they’re kind of on the road to kind of internally making that happen if Jason Dominguez and Ben Rice keep up what they’re doing.
So obviously that’s important as well to look at.
But overall with the Yankees, Dominguez is not going to hurt them at all.
And when you look at this team where you look at the bullpen, look, David Bednar is a minus.1 war on the season, but he has been good.
He just had a a slower start to the season overall, but he does lead the MLB in saves with nine, so that’s good.
Brent Hedrick’s been nothing short of phenomenal, a 1.59 year rate.
Tim Hill is a 1.38 RA.
Fernando Cruz doing his thing once again with a 2.84 year rate.
Then you see Camilo Dval, who’s one of their hardest throwing pitchers, who is a 6.75.
He struggled mightily to get anything going since he’s gotten to the Yankees.
And it definitely is concerning.
Paul Blackburn has honestly been pretty solid as well for the team.
Jake Bird has not been he’s been up and down in the minors and the majors.
Ryan Yarro is not excellent at all.
Elmer Rodriguez is so young that I’m not I’m going to take it with a bit of a grain of salt.
Chile is on the IIL right now, but he was doing decent work.
And Yer de los Santos is now once again just, you know, not with the team.
So, when we look at it, they do have some interesting players and some interesting pieces.
But adding Dominguez gives you another high leverage arm that you can mix with Bednar, with Hedrickk, with Hill, with Cruz, who have all been excellent.
And when you have another fourth bullpen arm that’s downright phenomenal.
It just makes it that harder.
Especially when playoffs come around and you’re going to want to give some bullpen guys days off here and there.
That’s when things get very, very, very important.
And guys, before we do wrap this video up, I do want to thank Prize Picks for sponsoring today’s video.
We have some excellent promotions to get into right here.
And first, we’ll go with the pick that we have for today.
And we are going with the NBA playoffs round two with the New York Knicks.
We are taking Jaylen Brunson to get more than 26.5 points against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Brunson had 27 points in the first half of last game.
So I do imagine that Bronson can get over 26.5 points, especially when considering over his last four games against the Philadelphia 76ers, he’s averaging 35.5 points per game.
And that’s the last four games in the playoffs as well.
So we have some room for leverage right here.
So I think he’ll get more than 26.5.
I’m taking Tyrese Maxi to get more than 24.5.
He did not have a great game, but Maxi has been nothing short of phenomenal all season long and I think that he is going to be able to respond very well for Philadelphia.
So, those are the picks that I’m going with.
And we also have an excellent promotion.
Guys, as many of you do know, it’s May 5th, which also means that it is officially Cinco deio, which is one of my favorite holidays considering the few things that I love in this world are margaritas, the Yankees, the Knicks, the Jets, and tacos.
And not only is it Cinco de Mayo, BUT IT’S TACO TUESDAY.
[screaming] That’s the third time I’ve done that between videos right now.
It’s really starting to hurt.
But overall, it is Taco Tuesday and the tacos are going nowhere.
Our board is serving up discounted projections on Tuesday all day long giving just plays that are going to benefit the player and we absolutely love it, guys.
So, you do want to make sure to check that out as well.
Guys, like this video, subscribe, turn on post notifications.
Happy Taco Tuesday.
Happy Cinco deio.
Go Yankees.
