The Ohio-based McGhee family, who welcomed sextuplets in 2010, posed for an updated version of a photo that went viral six years ago. It has been many years since the world got introduced to the family, and we all want to know, what’s going on with them now?
After giving birth to Columbus’ first set of sextuplets, the McGhee family has a new place to call home. Mia and Rozonno McGhee welcomed their six babies in June. The adorable Ohio-based McGhee sextuplets turn 6 years old – happy birthday to them! Remember their family portrait that went viral in 2010? Four cute little boys and two little girls sleeping on their father… Pretty hard to forget. Well now, 6 years later, they’ve recreated the photo using the same photographer and studio. The results are absolutely adorable! The picture below made it to Facebook and totally melted millions of hearts. In it, we see the father and mother, and their six babies.
The sextuplets – Olivia, Madison, Rozonno Jr., Josiah, Elijah, and Isaac – and their parents are also starring in a new UP show ‘Growing Up McGhee’, which premiered yesterday. It’s about how parents Rozonno and Mia balance their day-to-day life with caring for the sextuplets while juggling the needs of their family carpet and upholstery cleaning business. So cute, what energy mom and dad just need to keep up with these kids!! Wow, I admire them and wish them well. They wondered how they could afford this family. But no matter what happened, love would be their foundation. To express that love, they decided to have this adorable photo taken with little Rozonno Jr., Olivia, Madison, Elijah, Isaac, and Josiah. Yet, the family’s luck started to change when that photo went viral. It caught the attention of Oprah Winfrey, who invited them to her show. When they arrived, she gave them $250,000 in Wal-Mart credit and bankrolled Mia and Rozonno’s belated honeymoon in Las Vegas.
That appearance inspired an outpouring of generosity. Soon, total strangers were donating diapers and offering to pay for car seats. Eventually, the McGhees had to turn people away. Things only got better from there. The family ended up getting their own reality show called 6 Little McGhees. It aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network and followed the family as the kids grew up and the parents balanced their obligations.
Throughout the series, cameras capture the tender moments, the chaos, the good times and the tantrums as a handful of volunteers join Mia and Rozonno, including Rozonno’s mother (also known as Miss Charmyne), to take care of the six growing toddlers, Josiah, Madison, Olivia, Isaac, Rozonno Jr., and Elijah. From doctor visits to church services to the children’s second birthday party, every step of the way the McGhees prove that “it takes a village” when it comes to their unique family and that love can overcome any obstacle. But the McGhee household is not always filled with bliss. Conflicts arise as Mia and Rozonno, who don’t always see eye-to-eye, disagree on running their carpet cleaning business and must learn to take time for themselves to keep the spark in their marriage.
Even better, Rozonno’s business grew, allowing the McGhees to purchase a larger home. He said, “You’d be surprised what sextuplets can do for you — they really motivated me.” Altogether, the kids were able to grow up perfectly happy and healthy. To commemorate how their family had grown over the last six years, the McGhees wanted to do something special. So they recreated their famous photo.
Newborn babies can make the most hilarious faces! Which is understandable – being out in the world is a lot to take in. These babies range in expression from eerily grumpy to ecstatic to be in their mothers’ arms. Some seem to be preening for the camera while others can’t quit poking their tongues out. Despite the fact that it is hard to tell what individuals are truly thinking, the photographers who captured these pictures did their best to make an educated estimate…. and we’d say they’re probably pretty on target!

You are growing a whole new person inside you. It is a fascinating thing in the world. Everyone is taken aback by the transition from normal adulthood to parenthood. You’re getting set to take on a new relationship. You are getting ready to welcome someone new into your life. You don’t know anything about them. You cannot believe that you just made a little person.
More amazing still is how much your baby does while still inside your womb. Because we typically believe that life begins when a baby is born, it might be difficult to visualize this. Strictly speaking, this is not true. The time in the uterus plays a pivotal role in shaping who the baby is when they’re outside.
Here are some of the most surprising things about unborn babies:
1. They know you
Different senses develop at various times during your baby’s growth in the womb. Your voice, the food you eat, the music you listen to, and so much more all reveal who you are to your unborn child. They learn more about you while they are in there. They actually see you as their entire world. The fact that newborns find solace in their mothers’ presence is not merely a coincidence. For nine months, your baby spends quite a bit of time studying you.
2. They know what you eat
Your baby is well aware of the different flavors you eat, especially during the later stages of pregnancy. The placenta is very effective in transmitting these flavors to your baby. We know that babies can detect flavors in the womb as food you eat can alter the flavor of amniotic fluid. Babies, however, have demonstrated a predisposition for sweet flavors since 15 weeks old by gulping down more liquid when it is sweet and less when it is bitter.
3. They know your voice
They know your voice, and it soothes them. Babies are babies even in the womb. Since you are at that stage their most familiar thing in the world, they find solace in the sound of your voice and heartbeat. Of course, they are completely unaware of what you are saying. Reading to them, singing to them, or simply conversing with them are all options. It is an excellent way of bonding with your unborn baby and letting them know you are there for them.
4. They know your tone
Your baby knows when you are happy or sad or angry or excited by the tone of your voice. They can sense it all from in there. It is more difficult to perform given the mood fluctuations. However, staying upbeat will benefit you because it will make your unborn child happy. Even though it is too early for them to fully understand sentiments, they think about and pick up emotions from you at that time. You can observe that they begin to feel panicky when you are angry, which is a natural defense mechanism that babies have. They are just responding to the different stimuli around them. For your baby to be free of any stress in the uterus, keep things calm and happy as much as you can.
5. Babies open their eyes inside the womb and can see light from the outside
It is pretty hard to imagine how light enters the uterus. However, it does happen, and studies have shown that it triggers your baby to respond to the light reflectively. Although a baby’s eyes can “see” light starting around week 16, their peepers aren’t fully formed until about week 20. The eyes first open between weeks 26 and 28. Although their vision is somewhat fuzzy, they are able to see strong lights like the sun or a spotlight placed at a woman’s abdomen, to which they can react by fluttering their wings in movement. Getting outside often might even help a baby’s eyes develop and reduce the risk of a few eye disorders.
6. They can laugh or cry
It is tough to imagine a baby crying in the womb. The fact is that they are not calling. Babies cry in the womb – this starts at about 26 weeks from conception. Don’t worry, as crying is an important communication tool for babies, it’s understandable they are honing their technique before they enter the world!
7. They know when you touch your belly
Yes, babies can feel it when you rub your belly. No wonder everyone seems to be very keen on doing that to you. When you rub your belly, you’ll see that your baby reacts differently. Over time, different areas of their bodies gradually develop touch receptors. New receptors start to form, and they appreciate the touch sensation and respond accordingly by kicking or moving around. They often detect the fluid in the amniotic sac as the touch sensation intensifies and actively reach for these objects. However, until the very last period of pregnancy, they are unable to experience pain.
Don’t worry, though. Your baby will be full of surprises when they come out as well. You will be so excited to get to know them soon enough. Meanwhile, use these facts to bond better with your baby as they rent your uterine space!
