In the sequel to World War Z, Brad Pitt reprises his role as Gerry Lane, the former United Nations investigator who survived the initial zombie outbreak and helped to halt the pandemic. This time, he faces an even greater threat as the zombie virus has evolved, making the undead faster, smarter, and more dangerous. Now, the zombies are beginning to form organized hordes, posing an existential threat to humanity.
Gerry, along with a small group of scientists and soldiers, must race against time to find a way to stop the spread of the evolved virus. Their journey takes them to some of the most remote and dangerous places in the world—from abandoned urban centers to desolate mountain regions crawling with the undead. Throughout this life-or-death mission, Gerry is forced to make difficult decisions and great sacrifices to protect his family and humanity itself.
